Any personal information that you provide to register for a BCIT OASIS
Electric Vehicle Charging Station portal account and as a user of BCIT's OASIS
Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (including your name, contact, demographic,
vehicle information, and RFID card identifier) is collected under the authority
of the College and Institute Act, RSBC, 1996, c. 52 and Section 26 (e) of the
Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act RSBC, 1996, c. 165. This
information will be used in compliance with the Freedom of Information and
Protection of Privacy Act solely for the purpose of BCIT operating and
supporting its OASIS Electric Vehicle Charging Stations, as well as
understanding vehicle charger usage and trends to further BCIT's Smart
Microgrid research programs.
The BCIT OASIS Electric Vehicle Charging Stations are monitored by security
cameras. The video footage is collected under the authority of the College and
Institute Act, RSBC, 1996, c. 52 and Section 26 (e) of the Freedom of
Information and Protection of Privacy Act RSBC, 1996, c. 165. This information
is used in compliance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy
Act solely for the purpose of detecting and responding to BCIT OASIS Electric
Vehicle Charging Station issues, as well as to understand how the electric
vehicle chargers are utilized.
OASIS chargers are not intended to be production quality, they are part of an ongoing research project being conducted by BCIT's Applied Research team. They are made available on a best effort basis, and may charge slowly or be unavailable during research project activities.
